Hotel Franchise Company, Key West Inn,
Hosts 16th Annual Conference
Hotel Franchising Company, Key West Inns, Inc. hosted their annual conference on February 26th and 27th, 2007 in Birmingham, Alabama. The meeting was directed by Neal Jackson, President and Brand Manager, Brian Robinson.
This year’s conference focused on company growth, strategic partnerships, and the updated royalty fee structure. Company President, Neal Jackson was excited to announce the addition of two new locations. The first is a conversion of a Country Hearth Inn in Southaven, Mississippi to a Key West Inn & Suites and the second is a new hotel under construction in Rome, Georgia.
To promote chain growth, Key West Inns revamped the royalty fee structure to position it as one of the most competitive in the industry. Monthly royalty fees have been lowered to sixteen dollars per room per month. Entry fees now total $5,500.00, and license agreements have annual windows with no liquidated damages. At the February Key West Inn meeting, the new fee structure was extended to the existing locations. Rick Patel, owner of the Key West Inn in Tuscumbia, Alabama stated that he has been with the Key West Inn program for six years and Key West Inn improves every year. “I think this is one of the best franchise programs on the market. The Jackson family is trustworthy, and I’m getting plenty of attention from the Franchisee Success Coach. I would recommend the Key West Inn program to anyone who is looking for a hotel brand.”
Another aspect of the annual Key West Inn conference was the addition of new strategic partnerships with selected hotel venders. Over the last twelve months, Brand Manager, Brian Robinson researched hotel venders and selected companies who offered special pricing and valuable services. At the February conference, Key West Inn, Inc. announced new strategic partnerships with; Royal Cup Coffee, Home Depot Supply, First Horizon Merchant Services, AVM Enterprises, Sunrise Basic Training, Official Interstate Guide, Magnolia Color, Best Signs, and ZEP Manufacturing Company.
“This is an exciting time for Key West Inns” states Neal Jackson. “This year we will focus on new construction projects and conversion to grow the chain.” Mr. Jackson further states that several target markets have been identified, including; Mobile, Alabama, Nashville, Tennessee, and Texas and North Carolina.
